“It was really hard to take leaving Frame KR,” Johnson told Association Express. “I adored playing there.

“Meanderers had an extraordinary fan base and there were a few incredible individuals at the club. I thought I’d have been there for quite a while however not everything generally resolves in game and you need to go onto various excursions at times.”

Regardless of Johnson’s cheery way, there is no avoiding the way that the 24-year-old back-rower has found open doors restricted in late seasons because of wounds.
As well as wounds, some of the time Johnson simply hasn’t been picked – whether at Warrington Wolves or KR.

“It has been baffling now and again with game time, the last time I was playing standard was 2021 and in 2022 I had two long haul wounds when I was probably going to have played a similar part I had in 2021.

“That is baffling thinking back on it, yet last year was the hardest being fit and not being chosen yet various mentors have various conclusions and that is the way sport works.”
