Johnson Signs Contract with Dallas Cowboys.

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern wide receiver Cam Johnson has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Johnson led the Wildcats in receptions (54), receiving yards (715) and receiving touchdowns (6) in 2023, all of which were career-highs.
Johnson ended the season with the best stretch of his career, grabbing a touchdown in five straight games, becoming the first NU player to catch a touchdown pass in five consecutive games since Austin Carr in 2016. He was instrumental in bringing The Hat back to Evanston with seven catches, 124 receiving yards, and one touchdown in a win over Illinois in late November.

In Northwestern’s Las Vegas Bowl victory, Johnson caught the first half’s lone touchdown with a 12-yard touchdown catch.

Before becoming a Wildcat, Johnson spent time at Vanderbilt and Arizona State. Throughout his six-year college football career, the Nashville, Tenn. native hauled in 188 receptions, totaling 2,032 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns
