Just in: Who is next to go’ after Sabres waive Tyson Jost and one new signed player ….

With Zemgus Girgensons getting back to the Bison Sabers arrangement, there must be an oddball. Two names immediately came to mind: Eric Comrie and Tyson Jost, and as we advanced yesterday, it was Jost going on waivers.

So what incited senior supervisor Kevyn Adams to eliminate him from the large club? After all, Jost arrived in Buffalo last year and played a respectable role. He was a sorry scorer, nor did he hang out in any one region, yet he was somebody they pivoted in on the punishment kill and he was important in assisting the group with keeping up with puck ownership.
The issue was that Jost was rarely reliable, and he never held a similar degree of play all through the past season. That pattern went on into 2023-24, and thus, we’re seeing him postponed for the returning Girgensons.
Bison Sabers forgoing Tyson Jost didn’t seem OK, but

It’s reasonable that Jost was the oddball among advances, however putting him on waivers didn’t seem OK since Eric Comrie was still on the program. Comrie is the player who I would have deferred first, and left it at that.

Its a well known fact that Comrie has been perhaps of the most obviously terrible goaltender in hockey this season, notwithstanding partaking in major areas of strength for a camp and preseason. He’s permitted 23 objectives on 168 shots, giving him a 0.863 save rate and a 4.01 GAA in seven beginnings.
Subsequently, Comrie has ended up sitting in the press box on most evenings. While to say the least, Jost was a parttime sound scratch, yet the forward still wound up playing in 29 games for the Bison Sabers this season.

Better believe it, Jost was the most disposable forward right now, and he would probably have seen himself put on waivers once Tage Thompson gets back from an individual matter. In any case, as of now, it was untimely to defer Jost, regardless of whether the rationale is fairly justifiable.
