Celtics Injury Report After Spurs: 3 starters listed for

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (9) reacts after the Celtics were called for a foul with the game ties in the final second of the second half of an NBA basketball game against the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis, Monday, Jan. 8, 2024. The Pacers defeated the Celtics 133-131.

The Celtics could be shorthanded when they face the Spurs at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday as they had three starters listed on the injury report. Derrick White (left ankle sprain), Kristaps Porzingis (right knee inflammation) and Jrue Holiday (right elbow sprain) are all questionable.

On the positive sign, Jaylen Brown is no longer on the injury report as he didn’t play in Monday’s win over the Raptors because of right knee hyperextension. Brown was initially questionable on the injury report ahead of Monday before getting downgraded to out. But since he’s not even listed anymore, that’s a positive sign for him.

No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama will be in Boston for a game for the first time ever. The C’s already saw him in San Antonio, and while they won in a blowout, Wembanyama showed off his otherworldly talents. The Spurs have struggled with a 7-32 record this season as they look to upset the Celtics.

The Celtics have yet to lose at home this season as they have a 19-0 record at the Garden, which is a franchise-best record to start a season. It’ll be a big week in Boston even after Wembanyama and the Spurs are gone. The reigning champion Nuggets will be at the Garden for a 7:30 p.m. Friday game.
